Almost 1 in 2 people will receive a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime and Yoga provides a great opportunity to create the space to connect mind, body and offer some control back. This 6 x 75-minute Yoga class series guided by yoga therapist, Tyla Arnason is for both patients and yoga teachers who would like to learn more about supporting clients with a pelvic cancer (uterine, cervical, testicular, prostate, bladder, endometrial, ovarian, vaginal, colon, anal, vulvar) diagnosis. There are many programs out there for some of the more common cancer types, but this 6 part yoga series, ensures that those with less common cancer diagnoses also have a place to find appropriate movement, reconnect to their breath, and calm their nervous systems. About Tyla: Named a Top Ten Yoga Instructor in Calgary, Tyla Arnason (she/her), is an accomplished yoga therapist with national achievements and programming that supports those with cancer, care teams, and yoga instructors through her specialized yoga therapy protocols, classes, and trainings. Tyla is a movement optimist, and her philosophy is that with classes tailored to the individual, yoga can be made accessible to everyone and all students can become more confident movers.
