Yoga Truly has grown in response to a modern wellness culture that often overwhelms and under-supports
Here you’ll find clear information, permission to learn slowly, and a space where awareness and integration are gently supported. No pressure for harder classes or constant self-improvement. This work isn’t about fixing
yourself, it’s about understanding yourself and remembering who you truly are.

My Approach
To me, yoga is education and inquiry, it's light, contemplative and comfortable, not performative

My Background
Claire Smith (she / her)
BA, E-RYT 500, RCYT, RPYT

I've been practicing yoga for many years and guiding classes since 2006.
I owned and operated 2 beautiful studios, trained teachers and have worked closely with people navigating pain, stress, injury and life transitions.
This experience has shaped how I teach.
Running the studio taught me as much about listening, establishing boundaries and sustainability as it did about yoga itself.
My work has naturally moved towards:
-
Restorative and Yin practices
-
Pelvic Health Education
-
Nervous System Literacy
-
Teaching methodologies that prioritize compassion and responsibility.
I'm a LGBTQ+ ally and these circles are open to everyone who arrives with respect. Harmful or exclusionary energy has no place here.
I have 2 children, 2 cats and 2 dogs and a golf loving husband who occasionally practices yoga with me at our home in Nova Scotia, Canada.
One Final Note
I don't see Yoga as something we do, it's more a process of learning that mirrors our lives.
To me, Yoga is a path to understanding ourselves more clearly, relate more kindly to our body and thoughts and stay connected through change and uncertainty.
Yoga Truly is built to support that, slowly and honestly.

If that resonates with you, then I'm glad you're here. Gather your mat, get comfy and let's learn.
